Unusual hotel nestled in the corner of Place de la Resistance
Arrival by car with reserved parking space: the space is occupied by a "friend of the management" who is having lunch. Wait 1 hour. Accommodation room 116: small and bathroom a corridor: 1 meter wide, 2 meters long for the shower. UNWORTHY of a 4 star. 2nd day: room departure 10 a.m., return 4:30 p.m.: the room is not made up and if I do not notify reception I think it has been forgotten: UNWORTHY of a 4 star. Avoid this accommodation. Finally, departure and a too high rating which does not correspond to our stay The positive: the welcome, the gourmet restaurant and its chef, the breakfast well stocked with products, the location in the city center. HOTEL to AVOID for those looking for the comfort and services of a 4 star establishment.

Beautiful hotel, quiet and pleasant; unfortunately our stay ended with a mishap: a stranger squatted on our landing and then entered our room. The hostesses were sorry but for a 4-star hotel, a commercial gesture from the management would have been the least they could do.

Nice hotel, pleasant and quiet. Unfortunately we will not return, due to a mishap: the stay was perfect until the intrusion of a stranger (a stranger to the establishment) in our room. The hostesses were sorry but for a 4-star hotel, a commercial gesture from the management would have been the least they could do.

We had taken a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. Very satisfied with the bedding of the double bed, however the comfort of the sofa bed is not worthy of a hotel of this standing. Choice at breakfast a little limited.

3 nights of stay, excellent from start to finish. In addition to the quality of the very comfortable rooms and the top location in the heart of the city, I would like to highlight the quality of the massages (among the best I have ever had), the excellence of the table (the dishes are fine and the restaurant very cozy) and above all, above all, the professionalism, kindness and elegance of the reception staff during the three days of the stay. Go there with your eyes closed, I will return without hesitation!

The hotel is very beautiful, the room too and the breakfast delicious. I was simply disappointed by the customer service. It's a shame that for a hotel of this reputation, the hotel reception (nothing to say about the restaurant part) is not very well done: no help to bring things to the room, no request from the team on the progress of the stay, no special attention to the customer. It's just a shame, we would expect that for a hotel with this reputation. PS: the night reception is excellent, thank you to the young woman who is there at night, because all the kindness that we expect from a reception is concentrated in this person.
Nice hotel, the sign with my name in the courtyard to indicate where to park is a very nice touch, but the room and the bathroom are very cool, not to say cold. A separate heating system such as a towel dryer for the bathroom is highly recommended.

Very pleasant evening of December 31st. The welcome was cordial and attentive, the evening meal succulent even if the service was slow and the waiters did not take the time to ask us if we were missing something (bread, wine for example). Concerning the spa/massage we took full advantage of this cocooning moment. The hotel is perfectly located, and even if parking spaces are limited, we do not walk much to get there.
Everything is positive, well done to the team and the restaurant! We would have appreciated it even more to be warm when we got into the room, and at breakfast, local jams and honey would be a real plus! The shower, very beautiful, splashes a lot and pricks the bottom of the door frame with dirt. Finally, the tiles in the wellness area are dangerously slippery when wet. That said, we will be back!
Eugénie Apartment: no cupboard to put your things in, which is quite surprising. Dust on the box of disposable tissues, no paper towels, no carafe to put water in, a sink plug that is halfway in, dirty dishes Reception/Service: Lacks the basics of reception and customer relations (no hello at the breakfast reception or very little), when leaving no one asked us if it went well. It's December 31st... Customers are renting an apartment... We ask them if they need an ice bucket... It's good manners to provide products to welcome (appetizers, cakes, etc.). Instead: 2 bags of herbal tea and 1 of tea The spa: Very pleasant but a real ice rink with slippers and a wet floor. And once again no one to care about the customer experience. Breakfast announced until noon: 11:45 a.m. arrival of several customers... No tables cleared and no set-up to welcome customers and a lack of all products
We cannot give this hotel 5 stars, despite an excellent welcome and a very good breakfast, for the following reasons: - In our bathroom, a smell of sewage persisted throughout our stay, which the management was informed of but which they were unable to resolve, despite using a large quantity of Destop. Regardless of the quality of the room, this nauseating smell greatly bothered us. - In the room, apart from a hard-to-reach coat hook next to the door, there was nothing to hang clothes on or store clothes (no cupboard, no shelf). When we left, we learned that there should have been a mobile clothes rack in our room, but we don't know where it went. - Maneuvering in the small parking lot is not easy, at a time when everyone has an SUV. It is sometimes a matter of a few centimeters to get into your space. I would like to point out that the reception staff kindly offered us breakfast on the last day as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused by the smell in the room. That said, without the assurance that the plumbing problems have been resolved, it is impossible to consider returning to this establishment.

Access to the hotel and parking space not available No space in the restaurant so room service, I started with the main course because the fish was just warm and continued with the soup, the starter which in the meantime was cold. Good and quality food, it's a shame. The meal tray that I had put at the entrance to my room in the evening was still there when I left the next day.

Everything would have been perfect if I hadn't had to take a nearly cold shower the night I arrived.
Beautiful hotel, friendly and professional staff. Evening stopover as part of a business trip. I found used plane tickets in the room, a phone charger plugged in, and more annoyingly a used handkerchief in the bed. The receptionist came to change the sheets at 11pm, unfortunately they were not the right size, too short! As compensation, I was given a free parking space, and an upgraded menu that I did not accept. I am especially disappointed by the lack of consideration shown by the management, who did not even deign to speak to me on the phone. This is a shame, because the establishment is beautiful, and the staff competent. Very far from what one is entitled to expect from a 4-star hotel.
On the positive side, the location is ideal and quiet, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. For areas for improvement, it would be necessary to put heaters and a VMC (which works) in the bathroom and improve the view from the ground floor rooms with plants or decoration (we had a view of the backyard and the back kitchen). On the disappointing side, my pillow was stained (a shame in a luxury hotel).

Having already stayed with pleasure several times in the EDGAR hotel in St Brieuc, my wife and I were once again very satisfied with the professionalism and kindness of the reception staff. On the other hand, we experienced two incidents. Having noticed that the shower gel cartridge was almost empty, we asked at the end of the morning for a new one to be installed. When we returned in the evening, we saw that this had not been done. Much more annoying, being in room 216 which needs to be locked to be properly closed (due to a problem with the lock which does not close the door automatically), we had the very unpleasant surprise on our return at the end of the afternoon to find that the door was not closed and that we only had to push it to enter the room. This is completely abnormal given the level of the hotel. I would like to point out that we had obviously taken care to close the door with the key when we left. Failure to close the room by the person who cleaned it was a mistake that could have had serious consequences.
We stayed 5 nights in the hotel. Great welcome and staff. Small downside for the room, a little small, no bathrobe or slippers, lack of VMC in the bathroom (a lot of condensation on the mirrors) maybe put heated mirrors. Expensive breakfast compared to the products offered, industrial breads and croissants, too bad...
Excellent hotel for a stopover, very good quality accommodation and catering!
Very good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Maybe a very slight downside if there was an accessible canal it would be a plus. The hotel is quiet and from the rooms you can't hear the street at all so when you sleep it's the best. The spa is also a plus and very pleasant.

The location is central. On the other hand, the room was in a separate building without an elevator on the 3rd floor. You could have put two pods of instant coffee or tea like the standard in hotels. We would have liked for a 4 star, a small fridge in the room On the other hand having received a room for disabled, the bathroom was large although a small sink and the room a little smaller than we are used to receiving for a superior room in 4 stars but otherwise the bedding was very comfortable and the hotel well maintained. Pleasant reception staff. Overrated restaurant (nothing on the plate) and a lot of waiting.

Quality welcome and service provided
The hotel is well located with direct access to the beach via lift. Our room was excellent with plenty of storage space. The lady on reception was most welcoming and helpful. Parking was a potential issue. If we had not secured an underground space we would not have been able to park anywhere near the hotel.

Hotel has some serious maintenance issues. No hot water, no air conditioning, TV that turns on spontaneously and cannot be turned off. We had to shower elsewhere. As compensation, we were offered free parking and free breakfast the next day upon departure. That was very nice, staff super friendly anyway. Unfortunately we had already had breakfast outside.
Establishment that I do not usually frequent because it is out of my budget for an evening stopover and other establishments offer services of the same quality with more affordable prices. On the other hand, this in no way diminishes the quality of the services offered, the welcome and the catering are excellent. Philip
