Please note that the hotel does not have any parking conditions and is not subject to any restrictions. De trappen puts het tapijt in het oude gebouw zijn aan vernieuwing toe maar eleven kamer en badkamer waren mooi gerenoveerd. Die lagen aan de chterzijde zodat we helemaal geen last hadden van het eventuale straatverkeer. Jammer dat de douche enkele zwarte vlekken vertoonde op de overgang tussen vloer en murur (maar dit is bijna overal in English hotels). Relais du Taurion is a fine restaurant and we have a delicious dinner.

Of the three days, the heating only worked on the second day and I was very cold. Less than fifteen degrees and humid weather is not pleasant, the duvet is thin but there is a blanket available. The meal quantities are rather small and it's dessert every other day, if you don't eat cheese you have fruit. There is only one towel in the bathroom and it is not replaced even if it is placed on the floor as indicated on the small sign for changing linen. Cleaning was not done in the bathroom. Overall, the hosts are friendly.

A very pretty discovery halfway between the Pyrenees and Paris. Charming welcome at the reception, evening meal of very good quality and sophisticated, for a 2-star hotel, pleasant and well-equipped room, and staff who take great care of their customers. A very short but very pleasant stay! We noted the very beautiful Laguiole knives that are light and pleasant to hold as cutlery in the restaurant. And we congratulate the chef for the quality of our dinner as well as the waitress for her good humor and attentive service. In addition, my husband and I being geologists we discovered that there is a museum of mineralogy and petrography in Ambazac, a village about ten km from the hotel, which guarantees that we will return to the area intrigued by this museum and we will go back down to the Le Relais du Taurion hotel without hesitation!

Our only criticism is the noise of the traffic which in our room overlooking the front was very loud.
Room overlooking a road but very well soundproofed. Small but well appointed room. Excellent quality dinner in a cozy and personalized atmosphere.
